I am always playing with it, I am always using it, I am always aware of gravities effect on my subject. I have always been involved with being in motion personally and the sports that depend on it. As an avid surfer, mountain biker, skateboarder, snowboarder, I control my own gravitational fall line, and its what keeps me planted on the earth, and it stops us all from just floating away, but it's inevitably that it will finally pull us all down from our lofty endeavors for good at some point in time, so I make every moment count, and I enjoy shooting all aspects of photography that depend on gravity, chance, and made up chance, and try to show the natural cycle of life from beginning to end, and it's why I like the mix and diversity of capturing people, places and things in that perfect and decisive moment, all in a single frame to show the world. Everything is in constant change, and no two waves are alike, or farm fields and farmers for that matter, so life is always very interesting if you look for things that everybody misses, or walk by without really looking, and some of this is reflected in both my micro and macro photographs because I love the large open environmental shots, as well as laying my camera on the ground for another perspective.
My work has been featured in numerous advertising campaigns, magazines and catalogs all over the world, and I have vast amounts of studio people and product related work in my career in addition to my location work, so I bring this diverse experience to my work, and adapt it to whatever the challenge or request. I was a leader at the forefront when sports became a lifestyle, and the lifestyle of fashion became largely about sports with a persons health, dress, food, and active lifestyle as the focus of a balanced well lived life. I blend true aspirational substance with a radicle simple truth, and bring a subtle edge to all my work, and this is the key to a lasting image that will endure in the world of art and advertising.
I like telling a story with vision..
